Let me take you back to my first shot at the clinical skills exam.
I walked in confident. Tools prepped. Steps memorized.
Started my first task... and got way too caught up in making it perfect.
I mean flawless. Every detail. Every angle. Picture-perfect dentistry.
I was in my zone... until I wasn’t.
Time was up.
I hadn’t even finished.
No warning. No “wrap it up.” Just—
Session over. Tools down.
And with that, my attempt? Done.
Here’s the painful part:
I knew exactly what to do. I had the skills.
But I let the clock beat me.
